Wonderful companion dog seeks low-activity home

7 year old neutered staffy , mellow, well trained, good natured, and very sociable, needs a new home.
He would be an ideal companion for an older or less mobile person. A little walk or potter round the garden would suit him, but long walks or romping with other dogs aren't good for him any more.
We love this dog dearly, but he is starting to get creaky and the three flights of stairs to our winter flat are now too much for him.
We need to rehome this dog either just for this winter , or would consider letting him go to a permanent new home. We would take him back at any time - this advert is trying to act in the dog's best interest, we don't really want to let him go at all!
