
Exeter office / office admin
JOB ROLE:
Whilst this is not a traditional Personal Assistant (PA) role, the Assistant to the Purchasing Director will provide general office and administrative support. It is anticipated that this role will develop over time. Candidates must be highly organised, methodical and have at least one years experience in an administrative role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inputting data to a database and maintaining spreadsheets from quote sheets supplied by factories
- Obtaining and chasing quotes, which will involve emailing factories worldwide for details of new and previous products.
- General and periodic communication with suppliers in the Far East and worldwide
- Recording details of placed orders into the company accounting system
- Product research and development
- Data analysis through the interpretation of sales figures
- Any other tasks deemed by the company to be necessary for the successful completion of the role or for the benefit of the company
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/DISPOSITION:
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to undertake and complete tasks with careful attention to detail and to a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent numeracy, time management and problem solving skills
- Experience of working in an administrative role
- Able to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self motivated
- Confident
- Highly organised and methodical
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Flexible
SALARY: £15,000 + pension and free healthcare
