It has a cassette playing and recording function a CD player and a FM/AM radio. These are all the key functions that make up a good system.
The speakers are two 12.5 Watt speakers that offer excellent sound for their size. They are two way bass reflex speakers. A downside to these speakers is that the connection to the main unit is a bit iffy and takes a while to become properly inserted. There is also a headphone socket when you do not want to disturb other people around you.
It has a timer function. The alarm can be set as so when it goes off it plays your chosen radio station or the CD currently in the player.

It has a blue backlight to support the fully digital LCD screen. To insert the CD the flap opens upwards which i thought was very cool.
