The inspiration for the food and design comes from the modern interpretations of the many famous bistros that populate Paris. In recent years there has been a resurgence of interest in simple bistro cooking in Paris as locals turn away from expensive and over complicated cooking in formal restaurants to return to the basics of French cuisine. The railway now brings this unique experience to England.
Our menu offers classic dishes such as steak frites, salad niçoise, rotisseris chicken alongside lighter dishes such as roast seabass with olive oil mash with a garlic and tomato dressing. Crème caramel and crème brûlée are house specialities for dessert.
Due to our continuing growth we currently have opportunities for experienced commis Chef to join our team for our restaurant in Honiton.
Key responsibilities:
• Maintain the highest standards of food quality and service at all times
• Stock control, purchasing, portion control and GP margins
• To motivate and develop existing staff
• Recruit, train and develop new team members
• Prepare weekly rotas
• Weekly management meetings
Applicants must:
• Have 2 or more years experience in a similar role
• The personality to lead, coach, develop and motivate your team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Be eligible to work full time in the UK
• Provide references
• Have track record of commitment and success
