Supervising Social Worker - Torbay, Devon. 4 days per week

A role has arisen for a Supervising Social Worker based in South Devon. You will need to have at least two years previous experience in child care social work, and will need to work in partnership with other team members in order to provide the most appropriate service for looked after children and young people as well as foster families.

You will work closely with agencies and staff to match children to families in accordance with Company policy. This will include assessing and providing training, actively recruiting and assessing applicants to care for children, as well as carrying out reviews and exercising an understanding of the customs, traditions, culture and religions when dealing with children and their families.

Accurate records and reports are a must for this role so excellent communication skills are required. To apply for this role you must have a knowledge of National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services of Fostering, have DipSW or equivalent degree qualification as well as a full current driving license. This role will include some unsociable hours.
