
Exeter flatshare - double rooms
Oops. Well, it looks as if we've had a little bad luck. Our room, which you may have seen advertised on here before, was occupied for a whole five weeks before we were given two days notice. It's not always easy to find a good housemate. Before that, the room was taken for six weeks before things went pear shaped.
Still. These things happen. What can you do? So. Again, and hopefully for the last time for a while...
We have an unfurnished double sized room up for rent in our shared house. The house is a lovely, big detached house next to the Gipsy Hill Hotel. It stands in about two acres of walled garden, giving plenty of green space to enjoy. The house has a large communal living/dining room, a big kitchen, a double garage housing bikes, guitars and gym equipment, two toilets, a spare guest room for spare guests, an ironing room, a washroom, parking and plenty of space. We have wireless internet access. We even have a campfire. Cool huh?
We are looking for one other to join the three of us living here. In an ideal world, we would really like a female to move in to get the 50/50 male/female balance back to what it was. So, just in case your eyes missed that bit, a female housemate, probably between 20 - 40 would be our ideal.
The room is a good size, and it boasts a lovely view over the garden and surrounding fields. It has a basin and a walk in cupboard, which may or may not lead to Narnia. It comes unfurnished, but if someone were to like it but have none of their own furniture, we could probably find various bits and bobs to help out.
Three of us live here presently, 1 female, two males, ranging from early 20's to early 30's. I work as a photographer, housemate B is a freelance theatre type and housemate C does scientific things with the weather. We are decent, relaxed and friendly folk, and are looking for someone who is easy to get on with, clean, tidy and helpful with the shared chores. A sense of humour and the ability not to take oneself too seriously is always a bonus.
It is a quiet, chilled out atmosphere here. If you're the kind of person who likes a camp fire and a bark of a clumsy squirrel, then this place could be for you. If you need to be right in the centre of town, then this place really isn't for you. It is a little out of the way, on the edge of Pinhoe, but you can get to the bus stops and Pinhoe train station with a short walk, and the bike ride in to town isn't very long at all.
It is ideally positioned for anyone who works on or near the Sowton industrial estate (MET Office, EDF, Ashfords etc), Exeter Airport is a short hop away and it really easy to get on the A30 Honiton road or the M5 from here. The rent is £400 pcm, which is split £300 for the landlord, and £100 for the house bills account. If this seems the kind of place for you, then please feel free to get in touch via message or phone.
