A position for a Qualified Nursery Nurse has arisen in a local Newton Abbott Nursery to start as soon as possible. They are looking for an individual who is keen to develop all areas of ability for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The successful candidate must be a flexible, reliable individual with a warm personality to fit in well with their friendly and supportive team. You will be able to care for the children and encourage their learning and will not be afraid of getting “stuck in”.
Responsibilities will include:


To assist the nursery team in providing a friendly, caring and relaxing environment in order to encourage and develop children in care.
To assist the room manager in activities such as training, organising themes and projects, and monitoring students.
To ensure all daily routines are carried out and records kept up to date.
To assist in maintaining a safe, clean and tidy base room.
To ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented into the nursery.
To appropriately console children if they get upset.
To communicate with parents and other visitors in a calm, friendly and effective manner.
To contribute to and participate in team meetings/activities.
To attend any training courses as deemed necessary.
To carry out any ad-hoc projects or duties as requested by manager.

It is essential that you have the following:


At least 3 months previous experience working with children up to the age of 5 in a nursery setting
NVQ/NNEB/Cache Level 3 or equivalent qualification
