Musicians wanted for online band project

THE CYBER BAND PROJECT

The aim of this project is to gather musicians together of all areas in order to put together a virtual, digital band, with the purpose of producing new original material.

The idea is to create something a bit like pass the parcel. One member would start the ball rolling by recording an original rift, beat, melody, vocal, etc and then the next member would add their part (bass, drums, keyboard, vocals, harmonies, you get the idea), and then another member would contribute, and so on.

As each part would be recorded separate it could then be mixed using a program such as Adobe Audition, Cubase (or likewise).

This is an ambitious venture with no guarantee of any forms of success, but this is a fun experiment for all musicians to get involved in. This is a project a person can enjoy from the comfort of their own home. It is ideal for those who want to experiemnt with new music but do not want to leave a band they are already in. It is also ideal for those who do not have the time to commit to a full time band but would like to be involved in creating new music. This is not a traditional band; there is no limit to how many people could potentially be involved.

Obviously we will be looking for guitarists, singers, writers, keyboardists, but also people who might like to take on the task of mixing and editing, and musicians of all genres, so brass, wood and string players are welcome too. Perhaps we might create something new and fitting for this new digital age.
