Accounts Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

·     To provide key support to a small Finance Team during the Accounts close-down process

·     To ensure that the Accounts are reported accurately, on time, and are SORP (Statement of Recommended Accounting Practices) compliant.

·     Management accounting and budget monitoring.

·     To liaise with the external auditors during the Accounts audit.



Candidate requirements:

·     Full AAT qualification or part-CIMA qualification is essential.

·     Experience in assisting the process of Accounts closure for a public sector body is highly desirable.

·     Knowledge of SORP (Statement of Recommended Accounting Practices) requirements is desirable.

·     Experience of management accounting and variance analysis

·     Experience of budgeting and costing
