Hi,
We've been living in the same flat in the Borough, a.k.a. Bankside (my husband and I and our two cats) for many years now, so we feel it's time for a real change...As we've spent nearly all of our holidays over the years at various self-catering places in various regions of Cornwall, we're open to any and all suggestions/offers of a Home Swap!

Our one bedroom flat is extremely well situated, as it is just down from London Bridge and also a short walk from Waterloo Station. (where we presently get trains to Cornwall and various other places) It's also near or within walking distance of nearly everything worth seeing and doing in London such as the Thames and its river walkways and the Southbank and all of its attractions, with St. Paul's Cathedral and the City of London just across the Millenium Footbridge around the corner, with the Barbican Centre a short walk from there. Shakespeare's Globe and Tate Modern are also around the corner, with Borough Market, Southwark Cathedral and an assortment of High Street shops and a big new M & S food store right down the road as well. In addition, the West End is a lovely half hour stroll down river from here. Shops, pubs, theatres, museums, libraries, universities and restaurants galore are all in this area too, with plenty more to come! However, as we've lived here for ages, the novelty has worn off somewhat for us, though no doubt even if we moved to another part of the U.K. we'd still visit this area from time to time as there's just so much to see and do here.Bankside is simply the best place to live and go out in, in London whether you prefer to cycle, jog, or just amble along, or even picnic or dine al fresco near the Thames. In fact, to us, the only thing missing aound here is the Cornish seacoast...

With that in mind, if like us, you're presently living in a one, (or two) bedroom Housing Association flat, either near or within walking or short travelling distance (we're car-less walkers) of one of one of Cornwall's many coastal paths and you'd like to take advantage of a rare opportunity to relocate to bustling Bankside in London and still have affordable rent, (unheard of around here these days) please get in touch and we can take it from there. Thanks!

Our flat's a normal sized one bedroom first floor flat on a well maintained estate situated off the main road, so it's very quiet considering the bustling area it is situated in. The flat has also has new (08) double glazed windows, and a brand new energy saving boiler. We're avid windowsill gardeners and there's plenty of sill space here for you to indulge in that hobby too with one extra large space situated over the entranceway of the building. Which reminds us that If you lived here you could also walk to the famed Brick Lane and Spitalfields Markets and/or fabulous Columbia Road Flower Market of a Sunday as well!

The available date of the flat is just a guess at this stage, but if we were interested in one another's locales and flats, our mutual moving dates would be up to when you'd like to relocate to the most vibrant part of London -Bankside!

PS We're actually to the left of Southwark Bridge Road, rather than the right, as shown on the map. Thanks for looking!
