Got a guitar, harmonica or bass amplifier that doesn't sound like you want it to? Or maybe it doesn't work at all? I can help. I've been fixing guitar amps and effects pedals as a hobby for years and have experience in repairing, maintaining and modifying a wide range of gear, from vintage classics to modern designs. Some of the work I've done includes retubing/biasing, channel mods, troubleshooting and upgrading and even ground-up custom builds. I've worked on all sorts of brands, from Fenders, Randalls and Marshalls to more uncommon stuff like Gibsons and Garnets. Although I like to focus on valve (tube) amps, I have done some work on solid-state equipment as well, including effects pedals.

Although I'm mostly a hobbyist, I have experience fixing amps in the US, Canada and UK and can do the kind of work an amp tech at a music store would charge a bundle for. While they charge you bench fees just to LOOK at your amp, my policy is- if I can't find the problem, there's no charge! And I'm sure you'll find my rates to be cheap in comparison, too!

For inquiries and estimates, send me an email! I'm located in Exeter.
