I am currently seeking part-time employment as a nanny/childminder. I am level 3 qualified, with a valid recent CRB check, current first-aid certificate, and I am also a complementary therapist. I am in the process of registering as childminder with a view to offering respite care in my own home. Ideally I am looking for a position that fits in with my current commitments, possibly two days/evenings per week. I am also available for ad hoc babysitting.

I have extensive experience in working with children with special needs, my present employment is within a respite centre, working with children of all ages who may have complex medical needs, and/or present with challenging behaviours. My employment at the centre comprises a dual role, providing all aspects of child care, and as a therapist, delivering aromatherapy massage, reflexology and reiki healing to the children. I am familiar with tube feeding, PECS and some Makaton. I am able to offer excellent checkable references.

I am a caring and compassionate mature lady, with two wonderful, if sometimes challenging teenage daughters. Generally I am a friendly cheerful person with a good sense of humour, and am always mindful of those in my care. I have an abundance of common sense, and the ability to remain calm in moments of crisis.
