VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED

Volunteers are required for an MSc study examining perceived and measured intensity of physical activity during various lifestyle activities.


Who can participate?

- Men and women between the ages of 18-55
- Participates in very little or no physical activity or exercise on a daily/weekly basis.
What do you get out of it?

You will get an idea of your

- resting blood pressure
- body mass index (BMI) - this tells you whether you are a healthy weight for your height
- body fat percentage
- resting heart rate

Plus you will get a free muffin, squash and a chance to win a £20 Voucher.


What is involved?

You will be required to perform 7/8 activities in the following order: lying down, seated computer work, shelf stacking, sweeping the floor, slow treadmill walk, medium treadmill walk, medium treadmill run (optional) and stair ascent/descent. With the exception of lying down, each activity will last 5 minutes.
