We are looking for a Financial Controller to join a successful, well established company in Somerset. This role provides an excellent opportunity to combine ‘hands on’ accounting with the opportunity to work at a higher level under the guidance of the UK Finance Director.

The role would suit someone who is currently working in practice, and looking to make a move into industry. Ideally you will be ACA or ACCA qualified with 1-2 years post qualification experience, and looking to join a company where you can progress and develop your career over time.

You will be reporting to the UK Finance Director and working within a finance team based in Yeovil where you will be involved in the full range of Group accounting functions, from preparing VAT returns and administering insurances through to assisting in the preparation of the Group accounts. You will need to have relevant experience of IFRS as well as UK GAAP, as the role will include monitoring developments in both to ensure that the Group and company remains compliant with applicable accounting standards and best practice as they change. Additionally, you will be involved with budget setting and monitoring, treasury management and assisting with Company Secretary responsibilities.
